Bat City Track Club is an emerging national class and regionally elite team with a primary focus on distances 5,000m to the marathon.

With a diverse membership including former NCAA stars, multiple U.S. Olympic Trials qualifiers, and top regional and international competitors, BCTC has established itself as one of the premier teams in the Southwest.

In Bat City's first Olympic Marathon Trials as a team, 5 members qualified for the 2024 trials.

Chances are, you’ve heard Mitch’s story. He’s not only inspirational, he’s a helluva guy and one of the hardest workers we know. Mitch got sober in 2015 and rediscovered the running community in 2018 after a decade-long hiatus from the sport. It didn’t take long to hatch a crazy dream to qualify for the Olympic Trials Marathon.

One global pandemic and a whole lot of miles later, here we are…Mitch was the first Bat City athlete to qualify for the 2024 Trials with a 2:16:48 at 2022 CIM, setting a standard of excellence for the squad that kicked off 4 more OTQ qualifiers.Read the full article of Mitch Ammons' inspirational and raw story of recovery in Runner's World.
